Fire Officials Release Statement About Nifty Fifty’s Blaze

The two-alarm fire that ripped through the 1950s-themed Nifty Fifty’s restaurant on Street Road in Bensalem Friday morning started in the ceiling, according to Eddington Fire Company statement posted to their Facebook page and website. ย 

According to the statement, employees called the fire in telling officials it started in the ceiling at 6:43 a.m.

The fire “quickly spread into the cavity above the dining area and engulfed the diner,” the statement says.

A second alarm call was issued, which allowed for ย additional manpower to put the blaze out ย and ย for the rotation of firefighters in this oppressive heat, the statement also says.

The fire which, according to emergency radio traffic started shortly after daybreak was subdued by 8:50 am
