A large two-alarm fire ripped through the 1950s -themed Nifty Fifty’s restaurant on Street Road in Bensalem Friday morning.
According to emergency radio traffic, the fire was heavy when firefighters arrived to the scene just after daybreak.

Local fire companies were able to subdue the flames by 8:50 a.m., when the fire was placed under control.
As crews worked to control the blaze, traffic on Street Road was halted.
No word yet on what caused the blaze.
