A traffic pattern switch is scheduled for Tuesday (July 16) on U.S. Route 13 (Bristol Pike) in Bucks County, for PennDOT’s $36.5 million project to rebuild and improve four miles of the highway.

Beginning Tuesday (July 16) one travel of northbound and southbound Route 13 (Bristol Pike) traffic will be shifted over to the northbound side of the highway between the Levittown Parkway and Mill Creek Road. This traffic pattern will be in place through the end of August to allow the contractor to install a new pedestrian underpass, improve drainage and reconstruct the highway.

PennDOT is enhancing travel and safety along a 4.3-mile stretch of Route 13 (Bristol Pike) by rehabilitating the deteriorated pavement; rebuilding  bridges;  replacing drainage facilities that date back to the 1940s; building sidewalks for pedestrians; installing medians; removing jug handles; reducing travel speeds; and implementing traffic calming measures.
