A Falls Township man is accused of pointing a gun at his ex-girlfriend at a Wawa in Middletown Township last week.
It all started just before 9 p.m. last Friday. A woman told police that she went to the Wawa on Oxford Valley Road to confront her ex-boyfriend – Keith Hadfield, 25 – and his new girlfriend following an argument that started on Facebook. At the gas station she spotted his car and went up to the window and began talking to Hadfield, she claimed to police. She then said he proceeded to raise a revolver and point it at her, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

The woman told police Hadfield got out of the car, held the gun six inches from her face and she walked back to her car and gunpoint, court documents show.
Authorities were then shown images of the gun the woman alleged Hadfield to have used during the incident, police said. The images were reported to be posted on Facebook and Instagram.
Police went to the Wawa and pulled security footage to review the woman’s claim.

The footage, according to police, shows the woman approach the SUV where Hadfield was sitting in. Next, the footage shows Hadfield exit the vehicle and hold a “black object,” police said.
In speaking with Hadfield, he said his ex approached his vehicle and he felt threatening when the woman started screaming and banging on the window, court papers state. Hadfield said he felt threatened and brandished his .38 caliber revolver, adding that he told her to back away from his vehicle and followed her back to her car, according to police.

According to court records, Hadfield called the 9-1-1 center shortly after the incident to report that he pulled his gun because he felt threatened by his ex-girlfriend. He reportedly added that she also was harassing him.
Hadfield was arraigned before District Judge John Kelly Jr. on Monday and released on $25,000 unsecured bail.
