As part of the project to revamp the intersection and improve Langhorne-Yardley Road, PennDOT will close the intersection on Saturday, Nov. 8, and Sunday, Nov. 9. The closure will be around the clock.

During the closure, drivers using Langhorne-Yardley Road will be directed to use Bridgetown Pike, Langhorne-Newtown Road (Route 413), the Newtown Bypass, Stony Hill Road, and Township Line Road. Drivers using Woodbourne Road will be directed to use Big Oak Road, Township Line Road, and the Newtown Bypass.

The paving work is weather dependent.

PennDOT said construction on the project will continue into December.

During the same time period, periodic lane closures with flaggers will take place on Woodbourne Road between Killburn Road and the entrance to Core Creek Park.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when travelling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.

The work is part of a $10.6 million project to update the intersections of Langhorne-Yardley Road at Bridgetown Pike and Woodbourne Road.
