Work is underway to rebuild the Chick-fil-A at Lincoln Plaza on Oxford Valley Road after the long-planned demolition of the fast-food location in late June.

Crews have completely torn down the building and are erecting a new restaurant designed to meet the company’s updated layouts.
The property, which is near Sesame Place and the Oxford Valley Mall, operated as a Krispy Kreme doughnut shop before its conversion into a Chick-fil-A years ago.
The upgraded restaurant plans to reopen to customers this fall, according to a social media post from the franchise.

Franchisee Dave Heffernan, who owns and operates the location, secured approval for the site redevelopment from Middletown Township officials last year.
At the time, a company representative informed officials that the complete rebuild was designed to better accommodate modern customer needs.

The new building will include dual drive-thru lanes, a bypass lane, and order point meal delivery canopies.

During the temporary closure, the franchise’s social media page encouraged regular patrons to visit its sister location at 1440 East Lincoln Highway, which Heffernan also owns and operates.
“While our doors are closed, you can continue to enjoy some chicken and smiles, with many of the same friendly faces, at our sister restaurant just down the road,” the franchise shared in a Facebook post.
