The Pennsbury School District is offering the original 1950s auditorium seats from Charles Boehm Middle School for free to the public as renovations are set to begin.

The seats, which have served the school for nearly 70 years, are being replaced, according to the district.
The district announced via a Facebook post that the seats, which are described as holding “generations of students, parents, and staff,” are available for pickup.
“Nowโs your chance to own a piece of Pennsbury historyโuncomfortable charm and all!” the post stated, adding that the seats are “full of memories (and possibly a few rogue pieces of gum from 1983).”

Pickup will take place at the Charles Boehm Middle School bus lot side on Friday, June 6, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, June 7, from 8 a.m. to noon.
The seats come in groups of three or five and cannot be separated on-site.

The district advises individuals to bring a vehicle large enough to transport the seats and encourages bringing a friend to help.
There is no limit to the number of seats individuals can take.
While the seats are free, donations to the Charles Boehm Music and Arts Programs are “gratefully accepted” and can be sent to: Charles Boehm Middle School, Attn: Music and Arts Programs, 866 Big Oak Road, Yardley, PA 19067.

Any seats remaining after the pickup dates will be hauled away on Monday, June 9.
