The forum will feature candidates Bob Harvie and Lucia Simonelli and is scheduled for Monday, April 27, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Middletown Township Municipal Complex at 3 Municipal Way in Langhorne.

Organizers said the forum is intended to assist voters in making informed decisions by allowing them to bring questions regarding various issues directly to the candidates.

“The League is honored to host a forum to help the candidates get their message out,” the organization said in a statement.

Harvie, a retired teacher and current Bucks County commissioner, has received the endorsement of the countyโ€™s Democratic Party.

Simonelli, a scientist with a doctorate in mathematics, previously served as an advisor to the U.S. Senate on energy and climate policy.

After the deadline for ballot petitions, Simonelli emerged as the only challenger to Harvie from what was initially a crowded field of Democratic hopefuls.

The winner of the Democratic primary is expected to face incumbent Republican Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, who is running unopposed in the GOP primary, in the general election.

A trained moderator who lives outside the First Congressional District will preside over the event.

For those unable to attend in person, the League will livestream the forum on its Facebook page and post a recording to its YouTube channel for later viewing.
