Federal and local authorities arrested a man wanted for homicide Monday afternoon.

The U.S. Marshals Service, in conjunction with the Morrisville Borough Police Department, apprehended Keisan Simmons, 19, at an apartment complex on the 200 block of West Bridge Street in Morrisville Borough.
This arrest stems from a homicide that occurred last month in Trenton, officials said.
Court documents stated that the Trenton Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter alert around 12:32 p.m. on September 22, near Parkside and Homan Avenues in Trenton. Upon arrival, officers found 17-year-old Trenton resident Opium Leverette with a gunshot wound to his back.

Despite aid provided by responding officers and transportation by Trenton EMS to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, the 17-year-old was pronounced dead at 1:09 p.m.
Simmons was identified as the suspect in the fatal shooting, which took place in the 200 block of Homan Avenue in Trenton, authorities said.

Robert Clark, supervisor of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force had a warning for those who are wanted for violent crimes.
“Violent crime fugitives often cross state lines to escape prosecution. The expeditious arrest of Keisan Simmons is another example how our task forces in Pennsylvania and New Jersey collaborate to quickly bring an offender to justice.”
