Around 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, police escorted the man they were in a standoff with out of the home he was in the 400 block of Radcliffe Street in Bristol Borough.

Chief of Police Joe Moors said the man was safe and in custody.

The investigation into the incident was underway as of 11 a.m.
Police were called Tuesday morning to a home and became engaged in an hours-long standoff with a man they believed was holed up and armed inside a home.

Several nearby homeowners were cleared from the area during the standoff.

The regional Bucks County South Emergency Response Team responded just past 7 a.m. to assist borough police.

An armored Lenco Bearcat tactical truck was brought in and used by police as they worked to get the man to surrender.

Officers used the truck’s public address system to call for the man to come outside as officers in tactical gear surrounded the home.
Radcliffe Street was closed between Market and Dorrance streets during the standoff.
