Wilkinson Langhorne L.P., a Florida-based developer, has submitted a new proposal for a Chick-fil-A restaurant at the vacant 1.9-acre former Ruby Tuesday at 1440 East Lincoln Highway near where the Lowe’s Home Improvement sits. The location would be the chicken chain’s second in the township.
The developer is seeking to turn the closed Ruby Tuesday into a 5,400-square-foot Chick-fil-A with a drive-thru.
Wilkinson Langhorne will come before the Middletown Township Zoning Hearing Board at the Wednesday, June 14 meeting at 6 p.m. to request four variances. The variances will be related to the drive-thru and takeout service, setback, parking, and operating hours, according to a notice of the meeting.

Waterstone Properties has sought to put a Chick-fil-A in the nearby Langhorne Square Shopping Center along East Lincoln Highway, but the plan appears to have fallen apart in recent months.

The second Chick-fil-A location in Middletown Township was proposed with the intention of relieving some of the pressure on the existing location in the township by Sesame Place. The existing fast-food location is about 2 miles from the Ruby Tuesday.
