Crews recently tore down the former Italian restaurant at the Fairless Hills Shopping Center at 500 Lincoln Highway at the corner of Arleans Avenue and Lincoln Highway.
An underground stormwater system has been installed at the roughly 2-acre site to prepare for construction of the 5,585-square-foot convenience store with eight fueling spots.
Wawa had planned a drive-thru window attached to the building, but those plans were dropped, a township spokesperson previously said.

In the Levittown area, Wawa already operates 10 locations.
In addition to the new Falls Township site, there is a location under construction along Levittown Parkway in Tullytown Borough and East Lincoln Highway in Middletown Township.
