Police ID Victim Of Fatal Route 13 Hit-&-Run Crash

Bristol Borough police continued on Monday to investigate a fatal hit-and-run crash on Route 13.

Alexander Mish, 42, of Bristol Borough, was killed last Tuesday just past midnight when he was struck and killed by a silver vehicle in the southbound lanes in the 200 block of Route 13, between Commerce Circle and Bath Street, police said.

The striking vehicle fled the scene.

Sgt. Joe Moors said it was an “active investigation” and urged anyone with details to contact police.

Neighbors at a Bristol Township apartment complex told LevittownNow.com they were told a silver van with front-end damage was taken by police as part of the investigation. Police said they were unable to comment on the van.

Last week’s death is one of several serious pedestrian crashes along Route 13 this year. A pedestrian was badly hurt on Route 13 in Bristol Township on October 14, and a Bristol Borough firefighter was killed during still-unsolved hit-and-run crash while he was riding his bicycle on Route 13 in Bristol Township in June. On November 1, a bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Route 13 in Bristol Township. In July, a woman was struck and killed in the same area as last week’s crash, but that driver stayed on the scene cooperated with police.
