A 24-year-old Maryland man was arrested after allegedly kicking vehicles and attempting to force his way into a residence last month.

Bristol Township police were dispatched to the Avalon Court Apartments on Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in the Levittown section at 2:26 a.m. on Aug. 15 for a report of a man lying in the roadway. The 9-1-1 Center received multiple calls about a shirtless man who was punching and kicking vehicles
Officers arriving at the apartment complex were told by a bystander that he had seen a man kicking vehicles before the man crossed the street, according to police.
Officers then found the man behind Galzerano Funeral Home on Bristol-Oxford Valley Road and he was going through bushes toward Brownbark Road, police said.

Shortly afterward, officers were alerted via radio of a burglary in progress on Brownbark Road. The caller reported that someone was attempting to kick in the door of a home, according to police.
An officer heard banging and found the man outside the residence.
The officer pointed a Taser at the man and ordered him to get on the ground, police said.

The man screamed at the officer and was eventually handcuffed.
Police stated the man was yelling at the residents, who told officers they did not know him and were frightened for their safety.
The man allegedly broke a glass storm door and the glass on the home’s front door.

Police identified the man as a 24-year-old resident of Rockville, Maryland.
The man was charged with attempted burglary, attempted criminal mischief, loitering and prowling at nighttime, and disorderly conduct. He was preliminarily arraigned and later released after a bail bondsman posted 10% of his $50,000 bail.
