Troy Elliot Keys Jr., 19, of Bristol Township, is awaiting arraignment on 28 charges, including attempted murder, robbery of a motor vehicle, theft, intimidating a witness/victim, terroristic threats, simple assault, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment, according to a court docket. The new charges were filed Tuesday.

Following an investigation by Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, and Middletown Township police along with Bucks County Detectives, Keys had been named the suspect in a Wednesday, September 16 evening shooting outside Statesman Health and Rehabilitation on Trenton Road in Middletown Township’s Levittown section, a Tuesday, September 22 shooting in the 200 block of Wood Street near the intersection with Mulberry Street about 200 feet from the Bristol Borough police station, and a shooting in Bristol Township. No injuries were reported in the Bristol Borough and Middletown Township shootings, but details on the Bristol Township incident were not immediately available.

Bristol Borough police said in a statement that it was at 5:41 p.m. on September 22 when Keys got out of a vehicle and opened fire on a small group that included a 7 year old and a 9 year old. He was attempting to target an 18 year old.

“The gunshot rounds struck a nearby residence and a round went through the second floor window of the Bristol Fire Company on Wood Street,” police said.

Keys is already in custody awaiting a preliminary hearing for a case where he allegedly pulled a gun and robbed an 18-year-old man of a “large amount” of cash in the 5300 block of Foster Avenue in Bristol Township last August.

In October, Keys was arrested by the Eastern Pennsylvania U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force at the Foxwood Manor Apartments on Veterans Highway in Middletown Township’s Levittown section. He jumped out an apartment window and tried to flee before being detained by Bucks County Sheriff’s Office deputies who were assisting with the arrest, authorities said.

“Bristol Borough Police would like to thank the residents of Wood Street for their patience and understanding during the time it took to bring this investigation until a successful conclusion,” borough police Chief Steve Henry said Tuesday afternoon.
