According to police, officers were dispatched to the Rock Springs Apartments on West Trenton Avenue in Falls Township on Sunday, September 6 around 10:30 a.m. for a report of a domestic assault. The officers arrived and found a woman who said she was attacked by Turner during an argument.

Turner fled the area toward Trenton in a black 2018 Honda Accord with a New Jersey plate, police said.

A detective wrote in court papers that Turner and the woman, who was his girlfriend, has been arguing starting about 20 minutes before police arrived. Turner was accused of throwing the woman’s cell phone so hard it became embedded in the wall and choking the woman so severely she began to lose consciousness before he held a handgun to her head.

The woman went in the bathroom to shower and Turner taunted her while moving the gun around, including pointing it at her, police said.

The 27-year-old man reportedly fired the gun as the woman attempted to leave the apartment.

“If you leave me, I will kill you,” Turner allegedly told his girlfriend.

The woman was not stuck by gunfire, police said.

Police noted that Tuner became concerned about the gunfire noise and smoke. He then used a spray to try to disperse the smoke from the gunshot.

Authorities said they were called after Turner’s girlfriend escaped and located maintenance staff.
