In a statement, law enforcement said they learned that a woman in a relationship with Lashun S. Turner, 27, of Morrisville, was in an argument with him when he choked her and fired a handgun when she attempted to leave the apartment. She was not struck.

The woman was eventually able to escape the apartment, police said.

Turner fled the scene and was last spotted crossing the Calhoun Street Bridge that connects Morrisville Borough to Trenton, police said.
