Bristol Hosting Celtic Heritage Day

Celtic Heritage Day returns to the Bristol Borough waterfront on Saturday, Oct. 3, with a lineup of music, cultural events, and family activities.

The free event goes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features food, vendors, pumpkin painting, face painting, balloons, and a bounce house.

Master of ceremonies Righteous Jolly will preside over the day’s entertainment, which opens at 11 a.m. with the sound of bagpipes.

The performance schedule includes High Strung from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Fitzpatrick School of Irish Dance of Bucks County at 1 p.m., Na’Bodach from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., the Erin School of Irish Dance at 3 p.m., and The McCloskey’s from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition to the musical and dance performances, attendees can get an education on Ireland throughout the day.

The Sunday Stroll that had been set for Oct. 4 on Mill Street has been cancelled. The next Sunday Stroll will be on Sunday, Oct. 25.
