Business Manager Christopher McHugh said Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS) remains a strain on the district budget, but the rate the district pays will stabilize a bit next year. He noted that PSERS rate has increased from 8 percent to 34 percent over the past five years.
The 25.16 budget includes about $400,000 more in spending than last year.
School Board Vice President John D’Angelo credited the administration and board for being “thoughtful and mindful” when taking a look at the budget.
