Bike To School Day Celebrated With Morning Ride


Teachers, administrators, and even a police officer took part in riding their bicycles to Carl Sandburg Middle School Wednesday morning.

The group biked from the Raymond P. Mongillo Sr. Community Center on Trenton Road to the middle school off Harmony Road in Middletown’s Levittown section.

The group of bicyclist were escorted to the school by a Middletown police motorcycle.

Bike To School Day was celebrated Wednesday across the nation and had more than 3,000 communities taking part this year. The event is designed to create support for safe biking for kids.
