Middletown Township officials are looking to replace the current signs outside Levittown neighbors to closer resemble the elevated ones placed around Bristol Township last year.
The township, which has authorized the project to go out to bid, is looking to upgrade the signs in two phases. Phase 1 will consist of replacing 45 neighborhood signs throughout the township and upgrading the sign outside the municipal center. Phase 2 will include adding up to 58 new neighborhood signs and upgrading all signs at township parks and major gateways, officials said.

The designs of the sign will also be reflective so they can be seen at night and will feature Historic Levittown or Historic Langhorne at the top.
While Phase 1 is planned for delivery in May 2019, Phase 2 is scheduled for 2020.

Any vendors bidding for the project will be asked to include quotes for signs, mounting materials, and delivery.

Once a bid is awarded, the township’s Public Works Department will be in charge of installing the first phase of the signs this summer.
Currently, Middletown has various styles and designs outside neighborhoods through the township, including more stylish donated markers that were supported by local businesses in the past.
