Bristol Woman Indicted On Federal Drug Charges


A Bristol woman and a Philadelphia man were charged by federal authorities following a drug investigation.

Aisha Jones, 28, and James Williams, 30, were indicted Tuesday on one count of distribution of heroin, one count of possession of heroin with intent to distribute, one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Williams was additionally indicted on one count of possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, according to a statement from United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Louis D. Lappen.

Authorities did not release much information about the investigation but noted the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and Bensalem police led the effort that resulted in the indictment.

Williams, if convicted, could face life in prison a mandatory minimum five yearsโ€™ imprisonment consecutive to any other sentence imposed, a mandatory minimum three years of supervised release up to lifetime supervised release, a $2,500,000 fine and a $400 special assessment. His co-defendant could face maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, a mandatory minimum five yearsโ€™ imprisonment consecutive to any other sentence imposed, a mandatory minimum three years of supervised release up to lifetime supervised release, a $2,250,000 fine and a $300 special assessment, federal authorities said.
