Pennsbury’s band is one of 16 selected to march in the iconic parade. This year’s bands hail from across the United States and countries such as Australia, Canada, Panama and Japan. Organizers said the bands were chosen based on musicianship, marching ability, uniqueness, geographic diversity and entertainment value.
The Tournament of Roses Parade is a popular event that draws eye-catching floats and more than 1 million spectators. Following the Rose Parade, the college football Rose Bowl is held, organizers said.
The Pennsbury community is invited to watch The Long Orange Line practice Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Pennsbury High School East in Falls Township.
