
Two carjackings in Lower Bucks County are reportedly connected to an officer-involved shooting in Philadelphia.
A carjacking shortly after midnight Thursday at the Village of Pennbrook Apartments in Falls Township was then followed by a carjacking along Melvin Avenue in Morrisville Borough, police said.

The victim in the Falls carjacking told investigators one of the two suspects had a chrome-plated handgun and stole his wallet and keys, Lt. Hank Ward said.
Around 4 a.m., a third vehicle was taken during a robbery of a security guard outside a bank on Bustleton Avenue in Philadelphia, Philly.com reported.
The three robberies were linked, police told media outlets.

A city police officer spotted the security guard’s stolen car in the area of Horrocks and Strahle streets in the city around 4:45 a.m. and chased the car, Fox29 reported.
The Philly.com article states a man got out of the stolen vehicle and pointed a gun at the officer, who fired one round toward the man.

Police were able to take the driver of the security guard’s vehicle and the man who was found near the SUV stolen from Falls into custody, the website reported.
A Courier Times article noted the vehicle taken from Morrisville was not recovered.
No serious injuries were reported.
