Panel On Addiction Awareness Set For Saturday

An addiction awareness panel to combat the opioid and heroin epidemic sweeping Bucks County will be held in Croydon this Saturday.

The panel will be headed by Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, a former FBI special agent, and Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub. The duo will be joined by local leaders, according to a flyer put out for the event.

The panel will share enhanced and updated information with the community about the opiate addiction, the flyer reads and push neighborhoods towards a prospering future.

Following the event, light refreshments will be served.

In addition to delivering information about addiction awareness, letters of sympathy for the families of the four men who were killed in Solebury will be accepted and delivered. Donations to the Network of Victim Assistance, or NOVA, will be accepted during the panel as well. NOVA representatives and volunteers were present to aid the families of the four missing men during the search.

The panel is set for Saturday at St. Thomas Aquinas’ Church Hall beginning at 10 a.m. The church is located at 601 Bristol Pike in Bristol Township’s Croydon section.
