The heat didn’t stop 775 Pennsbury High School seniors from graduating Monday evening.

Temperatures in the 90s and sunny skies did cause administrators to relax the student dress code, but seniors kept hydrated throughout the ceremony at Falcon Field.

“In the presence of the calm confidence radiating from this stadium, it is important to remember the difficult process through which that confidence was earned,” student government President Andrew Fedun told his peers.

Student speaker Anna Wachpress addressed seniors by comparing their journey to “the path” that connects the two campuses of Pennsbury High School.

“From the outside, it seems like the path is noting but a quarter mile of pure, organized chaos. But really, the path has encouraged us all throughout our journey in high school to discovery pricelessly transformative lessons,” she said.

Senior Drew MacElroy spoke of the diversity in Pennsbury and how it benefited in teaching students life lessons. He also said having DJ Pauly D and Questlove perform at prom made it the “best prom evah.”

Fedun summed up the collective feeling on the experience his peers went through: “high school was perfectly imperfect.”
