The docks at the Bristol Borough Wharf are nearing completion. The current projected completion dateย is expected to be July 4.
At their Monday night regular council session, the Council authorized a number of change orders for the dock project. A few of the changes include fiberglass pile caps, which will cost $4,869, an additional power pedestal, a gate at the American with Disabilities accessible fishing area, a railing height transition for $6,511.55 and a fiber mesh and binding agent for stamped concrete topping slab at $3,573.

The changes are all voluntary and done to best help the docks serve the borough, Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe II said after the meeting.
The $3 million project started in February and has been a fixture at the base of Mill Street.

The project features two, 250-foot floating docks attached to aย fixed pier, accommodating a total of about 25 boats, officials have explained.

The borough also approved the purchase of a sound system at the wharf for $6,676. The sound system was mostly paid for by Deluxe, with the borough just picking up the balance, DiGuiseppe said.
