Veterans Highway – a once desolate area of Bristol Township known for failing businesses – has been seeing new light.
In the past year it has seen a new Taco Bell, a Zio Gio italian restaurant, and now a new Dunkin Donuts.

On Wednesday evening, following an emotional reorganization of the township leadership, the newly organized Bristol Township council approved preliminary and final land development plans for a Dunkin Donuts.
The Dunkin Donuts, which will feature a new design and will bring 21 jobs to the community, will be located at 1159 Veterans Highway, directly in front of the Winder Village neighborhood.
The building received 13 waivers last year when they came before the Planning Commission.

Council President Craig Bowen also asked the owner of the future location to consider hiring local contractors when putting the project out for bid.
“Thank you for investing in Bristol Township,” Bowen said.
