Despite a police investigation, authorities were unable to find evidence that shots were fired Tuesday night in the area of Foxwood Manor and Racquet Club apartments in Levittown.
Middletown police said officers responded and were not able to find any evidence that a weapon was fired or that bullets struck anything in the area.

Officers checked with local hospitals and did not locate anyone who came in suffering from a gunshot wound, Chief Joseph Bartorilla said.
Neighbors told LevittownNow.com they heard what sounded like several gunshots late Tuesday night. One Foxwood Manor resident, who asked not to have their name published, said police remained in the area for more than two hours and searched with a police dog.
