Technical High School Says Threat Was Not Credible

A social media post that led to safety concerns at Bucks County Technical High School on Monday was determined by law enforcement to be noncredible, according to authorities.

In an evening message sent to the school community, Administrative Director Mark Holtzman said administrators immediately contacted police once learning about the post referencing a potential threat to the facility in Bristol Township.

After an investigation by law enforcement, officials concluded there is no active threat to students, staff, or the school, Holtzman said.

The administration received a significant volume of messages and Safe2Say reports concerning the online post, according to Holtzman’s note.

Holtzman shared his thanks for community members who alert officials and noted the school will continue to coordinate with police on any potential safety issues.

The incident comes days at two Neshaminy School District buildings were closed by a threat. A Bristol Township teen was arrested.

The note to parents:

Dear School Community,

We are aware of a social media post that circulated today referencing a potential threat involving our school. We understand the concern this may have caused and have received a significant number of Safe2Say reports and messages regarding the post.

Upon becoming aware of the situation, we immediately contacted our local police department and worked closely with law enforcement to address the concern. Based on law enforcement’s review, there is no credible threat to our school, students, or staff at this time.

We take all reports involving school safety seriously and will continue to work closely with law enforcement whenever a potential concern arises. The safety and security of our students and staff remain our highest priority.
