Cops: Middletown Man in Custody for Not Registering as Megan’s Law Offender

A Middletown man was arrested Wednesday night accused of not registering as a Megan’s Law offender.

Obrian Cosme, 21, of the 1300 block of ย Woodbourne Road in Middletown, was questioned by Detective Pat Nicastro about his failure to report an address change, court records say.

Nicastro earlier had received a request from the Megan’s Law Unit of the Pennsylvania State Police for a residency investigation of Cosme, according to court records.

Police went to the address where Cosme was ย reported to be living. Cosme’s stepmother told police he had lived ย with his girlfriend in New Jersey, but also maintained residency at the with her, ย police say.

State Police records show Cosme failed to register as a Megan’s Law sexual offender as required by May 20, court documents say.

Cosme told police he has not registered since February 2013, police records show.

Cosme was sent to Bucks Couny Jailย in lieu of 10 percent of $100,000 bail by District Judge Frank W. Peranteau, Sr

He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in front of District Court Judgeย John J. Kelly Jr. on August 15.
