All of the meeting will be held in the schools’ all-purpose rooms.
A district press release states each of the meetings will be one hour long.
Kelliher said the meetings are “due diligence” for the district before it can move forward on rolling out the proposed plan to construct three new, larger elementary schools to replace the current nine.

The three new schools are each designed to house 1,300 students and would be divided into two sections. Kindergarten through second grade in part of the building and third through fifth grade in the other section of the facility. District officials said previously that the parking and student pick-up situation that plagues many schools is expected to improve with the new schools.

The estimated $152.6 million facilities overhaul would close Franklin D. Roosevelt Middle School; Neil A. Armstrong Middle School and the former Benjamin Franklin School, currently home to the district administrative staff, would be renovated for students. Harry S. Truman High School would not see any major work done and the administration would move to a re-purposed Clara Barton Elementary School.
