The Bristol Township School District released renderings of what the proposed three new elementary schools could look like on Tuesday.
Each of the three state-of-the-art elementary schools, which would replace the current nine aging buildings, are estimated to cost $37 million.

The three new schools are designed to house 1,300 students and would be divided into two sections. Kindergarten through second grade in part of the building and third through fifth grade in the other section of the facility. District officials said previously that the parking and student pick-up situation that plagues many schools is expected to improve with the new schools.
School district spokesperson Eileen Kelliher said the current proposed sites of the new elementary schools are the James Buchanan, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Mary Devine elementary properties. Officials are still awaiting environmental testing at the sites to make a final decision, she added.
The facilities overhaul would close Franklin D. Roosevelt Middle School; Neil A. Armstrong Middle School and the former Benjamin Franklin School, currently home to the district administrative staff, would be renovated for students. Harry S. Truman High School would not see any major work done and the administration would move to a re-purposed Clara Barton Elementary School.

Estimates have the project costing $152.6 million.
The new schools are projected to open in September 2015.
