A large water main break is causing problems on Bath Street in Bristol Borough Thursday morning.

Around 8 a.m., there were reports of water ponding between Buckley and Route 13.
Shortly after, Bristol Borough police closed off Bath Street in the area and the water company was dispatched.
A message from Bristol Borough officials said Bath Street was “closed and impassable.”

Forecasters have warned of an increased risk of water main breaks due to the prolonged below-freezing temperatures in the region.
