The collision took place at 9:07 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, in Middletown Township, according to a Pennsylvania State Police press release issued this week.
A Toyota Highlander was speeding on the highway when it struck an Audi A4 merging onto the road, according to troopers.
The first impact caused the Audi to then strike a Honda Accord, troopers said.

The driver of the Toyota, a 46-year-old Bristol woman, was cited for speeding, state police said.
The 39-year-old Patterson, New Jersey, man driving the Audi and the 37-year-old Bronx, New York City, man driving the Honda were warned for driving too slow for conditions on the highway, according to troopers.

The four people transported to St. Mary Medical Center all sustained non-life-threatening injuries. They included the driver of the Toyota, the driver of the Audi, the driver of the Honda, and a 35-year-old Bronx, New York City, woman who was in one of the vehicles.
Due to the number of reported injuries, the Bucks County Rescue Squad, Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad, and Yardley-Makefield Emergency Unit responded to the scene.
All three vehicles involved in the crash had to be towed from the scene.
