Taco Bell is proposing a new 2,700-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru at the former Denny’s location at 640 East Lincoln Highway.
The company has submitted plans to the township for the site, which has been vacant since Denny’s closed last summer.
The slightly more than 1-acre property is situated next to the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad and across from a new Wawa.

Denny’s is known for its American-style breakfast and was one of the longest-running chain restaurants in the Levittown area.
According to county property records, Denny’s corporate office acquired the Middletown Township property in 1977 and sold it to franchiser Mid-Atlantic Diners LLC in February 2020.
