

Friends and family are mourning the loss of a young woman who died after a Sunday afternoon crash on Wistar Road in Bristol Township.

Keira D’Ambra, 18, of Fairless Hills, died from blunt impact injuries, and her death has been ruled accidental, according to Bucks County Coroner Patti Campi.
According to family, D’Ambra recently graduated high school and recently returned from a trip to the shore.
A GoFundMe for the D’Ambra family raised $24,000 as of Wednesday afternoon.

In a statement posted to the GoFundMe page, the D’Ambra family said the young woman’s organs are being donated, which can save more than of 100 people.
The D’Ambra family thanked the public for their outpouring of support.

The crash happened Sunday around 3:45 p.m. on Wistar Road across from the entrance to Neil A. Armstrong Middle School.

D’Ambra was the rear-seat passenger in a white 2002 Ford Mustang that was traveling east on Wistar Road when the driver lost control and struck a tree, police said.
Investigators said the Mustang was traveling at a “high rate of speed” when it crashed.

D’Ambra was rushed to St. Mary Medical Center in Middletown Township, where she was pronounced dead.
The 17-year-old male driver from Levittown and a 17-year-old male front-seat passenger, who is also from Levittown, were injured and taken to St. Mary Medical Center. Their conditions were stable Sunday night, but an update on their current condition was not released as of Wednesday.

Flowers were laid at the crash scene Tuesday as a tribute.
Ron Smith, a friend of D’Ambra, shared his thoughts with Fox 29.

“She was an amazing person, always really respectful of me, nice to me. It’s just unfortunate, so I thought I’d come here, check it out, show some respect and hope that this doesn’t happen again,” he said.
The police investigation into the crash is ongoing.
