Falls Township has officially welcomed a new member to their team: “Archie,” a 7-foot-tall fox mascot.

The adorable mascot was created to serve as the ambassador for the municipality’s Parks and Recreation Department.
The Falls Township Board of Supervisors voted last week to officially adopt Archie as the township’s first official mascot in recent decades.
Archie has already begun making rounds and made stops in recent weeks at Pinewood Pool, Falls Township Community Park and its lake, and several other community events.

The creation of Archie was spearheaded by Erin Long, the township’s parks and recreation coordinator, who drew inspiration from her previous job.
Archie was created to be a kid-friendly figure to help bring our community together at parks and events.

The name “Archie” pays tribute to the historic Three Arches property located along Trenton Road in Fairless Hills.
Brian Andrews, the director of parks and recreation, shared that while Archie was unable to attend the recent public meeting where his role was announced due to prior commitments at summer camp, there is anticipation that he will make a public appearance at one point.
Jeff Dence, chairman of the supervisors, pointed out that Archie and Andrews are never seen together at the same time, to which Andrews responded with a chuckle.

The selection of Archie followed a review of several potential mascot names, but it was the fox who won out.
Falls Township is the first municipality in the Levittown to have an official mascot that is currently being used.
