The two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Lincoln Highway and Bristol-Oxford Valley Road on Friday around 10:45 a.m. in Falls Township near the Middletown Township border.
A 27-year-old Warminster Township woman, who was driving a passenger sedan northbound on Lincoln Highway, said her older car’s brakes might have failed, causing her to not be able to stop at the red light and collide with a white SUV, Falls Township police said.
The SUV was being driven by a 33-year-old woman from Levittown, who was crossing over Lincoln Highway on North Oxford Valley Road with a green light. The impact of the collision caused the SUV to flip and land on its driver side, police said.

Along with the Warminster Township woman in the sedan was her 2-year-old daughter, who was securely seated in a rear-facing car seat, police said.
The SUV’s driver had to be freed from the overturned vehicle by firefighters who cut the roof off, police said.
