A Philadelphia woman getting ready to work on her fitness crashed her vehicle last week, and a Wendy’s Frosty she felt guilty about purchasing played a role, according to a Pennsylvania State Police report.

Last Monday around 11 p.m. on I-295 westbound in Middletown Township, troopers were called to a crash where a Nissan Rogue struck a tree.
The 29-year-old Philadelphia woman who was behind the wheel was found to be suffering stomach pain as a result of the single-vehicle crash, but she did not opt to be taken to a hospital for evaluation, state police said.
Troopers said the Nissan traveled off the highway, struck a cable barrier on the left side, then traveled across the highway to the right side, and struck a tree.

The woman driving the Nissan told troopers a wild story about the cause of the wreck.
The woman told an investigator she had just purchased a frozen Frosty treat at Wendy’s and felt remorse about the purchase because she had recently hired a personal trainer. The woman went to chuck the Frosty out of the window. As she opened the window, wind rushed into the Nissan and pushed the SUV off the roadway, according to a state police statement.

The woman’s Nissan had to be towed from the scene of the crash.
Troopers said they plan to cite the woman for the crash.
