The resident reported a person attempted to gain access to the home through a ground-level window that had an air conditioner in it. The air conditioner was secured in the window and the suspect wasn’t able to break in, police said.
Borough police responded and processed the house for evidence.
“Residents are urged to make sure that their windows and doors are locked and that any ground level windows with air conditioners are secured thoroughly,” police said in a statement.

Police said that on July 5 there was a burglary in the same area in the borough, but it wasn’t released if the two incidents were connected.
During the early July burglary, the Penndel Borough officer was on another call of high importance, so Pennsylvania State Police are handling the investigation.
