On Monday morning, Falls Township police Chief Nelson Whitney told LevittownNow.com the second person in the vehicle died. The first person – a woman – was pronounced dead at the scene Sunday.

The violent single-vehicle crash happened just past 7:30 p.m. at Tyburn Road and Cedar Lane, authorities said.

A 2004 gold-colored Chevrolet Trailblazer left the roadway, rolled over the guardrail, and ended up in a wooded area along Tyburn Road, authorities said.

The two people in the SUV were “heavily entrapped,” Falls Township Fire Company Deputy Chief Drew Zeek said.

Medics rushed the other person to the hospital, but they died of injuries sustained in the wreck.

As police investigated the fatal crash, Tyburn Road was closed in both directions from Route 13 to Old Bristol Pike for several hours.
