At the Falls Township Board of Supervisors meeting last week, it was announced the township plans to reconstruct 50 township-owned and -maintained roads in the Thornridge and Vermillion Hills neighborhoods as part of the 2024 through 2029 road improvement program.
Township officials said they expect the multi-year project to cost $28.1 million, or about $4.7 million for each of the years.
Jones Engineering, the firm the township uses as their engineer, will provide services for planning the road reconstructions for a projected cost of $3.9 million. In a statement, the township said the work will include surveying and base mapping, pavement core sampling, underground utility verification, engineering design, and bid administration.

Township Engineer Joseph Jones said the budget estimate for the project was $5 million, but the actual cost is expected to be less.
