UPDATE: Second Person Dies After Sunday Crash

A fatal crash closed Tyburn Road in Falls Township Sunday evening.

Just past 7:35 p.m., police, firefighters from several volunteer companies, and the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad and Capital Health Emergency Medical Services were called to Tyburn Road and Cedar Lane for a crash involving a vehicle that went off the roadway and people who were trapped.

Falls Township Fire Company Deputy Chief Drew Zeek said one vehicle rolled over over the guardrail and into a wooded area off the highway.

The two people in the vehicle were “heavily entrapped,” and one woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Falls Township Fire Company Deputy Chief Drew Zeek said.

The other person in the vehicle was rushed to the hospital, Zeek said.

The deputy chief said the extrication took more than 45 minutes.

Tyburn Road was closed in both directions from Route 13 to Old Bristol Pike for the investigation, police said at 8:15 p.m.

Police said the roadway will be closed for six hours.

The Falls Township, Fairless Hills, and Levittown No. 1 fire companies were at the scene.
