At a meeting Wednesday evening, the Bucks County Republican Committee recommended Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick to GOP voters for the upcoming May 17 primary.

Fitzpatrick, a three-term Republican from Middletown Township, will face GOP competitors Caroline Avery, of Bristol Township, and Alex Entin, of Northampton Township in the primary election.
Bucks County Republican Committee Chairperson Pat Poprik said she believes Fitzpatrick will deliver for residents of the Bucks County.
“Brian is working tirelessly to stand up to the radical left in Congress. Our committee recognizes his commitment to securing our elections, fighting the Biden-Pelosi socialist agenda, and representing Bucks County with distinction,” Poprik said.

Fitzpatrick said he appreciated the recommendation.
“I look forward to working with the committee to defend this district and ensure we have new leadership in Washington, D.C. come November,” the congressman said in a statement.

In past elections, Fitzpatrick has beaten back past attempts by conservative competitors in primary races.
Fitzpatrick ended 2021 with more than $2 million in his campaign account, while Entin wasn’t in the race by the reporting deadline and Avery reported $600 in her campaign coffers.
GOP primary candidates Bradley Lanning and Dasha Pruett recently dropped out of the race.

On the Democratic side, Bensalem Township U.S. Army veteran Ashley Ehasz remains the lone candidate from her party in the race. Her challenger – Lower Makefield Township U.S. Navy veteran Paul Fermo – dropped out recently.
