A nasty crash in Bristol Township sent two people to the hospital.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday on Green Lane between Airport Road and Fleetwing Drive when a Dodge Challenger muscle car slammed into a FedEx Freight tractor-trailer that was turning left onto the roadway.

Kevin Dippolito, the fire marshal and chief of Bristol Township Fire Rescue, said two people in the car were hurt. One had to be extricated by firefighters from Bristol Township Fire Rescue, the Edgely Fire Company, and Levittown Fire Company No. 2.
The two people in the car were rushed to St. Mary Medical Center by the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad, authorities said.
A bystander said the two appeared badly hurt.

The driver of the tractor-trailer did not sustain serious injury.
Police at the scene said speed appeared to be a factor, but the investigation was ongoing.

It appeared the vehicle attempted to avoid the truck. Skid marks were spotted leading up to the site of the wreck.
Fire police blocked Green Lane in the area of the crash.
