In March, exactly one year after groundbreaking ceremonies ushered in renovations construction debris and heavy equipment, renovations at the Fairless Hills YMCA are expected to be complete.
The $12 million project at the Bristol Township facility will enhance space inside the building, while expanding additional parking spaces for members. The project’s goal is to continue to meet the needs of seniors and individuals of all ages and abilities, as well as those fighting chronic illnesses.

Amanda Wappes, chief marketing director for the YMCA of Bucks County, said that information on opening dates and joining will be available after the first of the year.
The gymnasium, pool, and walking track will be repainted and refreshed, with an observation area added to the aquatics center. In addition, new cardio workout equipment, and a dedicated space for NovaCare rehabilitation, will be added.
The building will be fully ADA compliant, and a new universal locker room with private dressing rooms are including in the facility updates.

The Fairless Hill branch was closed for the past year but some programs and services continued via internet streaming. Fitness and summer camp programs were held at satellite locations.
