Bristol Township police were stationed Tuesday at Bucks County Technical High School after a possible threat was brought to the attention of administrators.
Administrative Director Dr. Leon Poeske said in a letter to parents that staff received “a concern about a comment that was overheard about someone shooting up the school.” The comment was reported around 8:30 p.m. Monday.

As of 11 pm tonight, the police believe there is NO active threat made towards BCTHS.
As background, around 8:30 pm tonight, Monday, December 13, 2021, BCTHS Administration received a concern about a comment that was overheard about someone shooting up the school. With very few details, the school immediately began investigating and notified the local police departments.
At around 9:30 pm, the school began notifying students, staff, and the community of the threat. And out of an abundance of caution, BCTHS requested that Bristol Township Police be present on campus on Tuesday, December 14.

The school will continue to be in communication with the police if anything changes, but as of 11 p.m., the police believe there is no active threat made towards the school. Regardless, the school will still have Bristol Township Police present at the school on Tuesday.
As I stated in my earlier message tonight, the number one priority for BCTHS is to make sure its students and staff are safe. We will take quick and prudent action to make sure everyone who attends and works at BCTHS is safe.

Thank you and have a good (and safe) night.
Sincerely,
Leon Poeske, Ed.D. Administrative Director
