A shed was destroyed and a neighboring home was damaged in a Wednesday night fire.

Crews were dispatched just past 9 p.m. for a report of an outbuilding fire on Outlook Lane in Bristol Township’s Levittown section. They arrived to find a large shed engulfed in flames.

Firefighters from the Levittown No. 2, Edgely, and Third District fire companies put out the flames within about 20 minutes, officials said.

A neighboring home which backed up to the shed had its siding melt by the heat from the flames, Levittown Fire Company No. 2 Chief Chris Shortt said.

Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the cause of the fire appeared accidental, but he was back at the scene Thursday morning investigating.
