UPDATE: Man Jailed After Hours-Long Standoff In Tullytown

UPDATED: 9:58 a.m., Sunday:

Tullytown Borough police Chief Daniel Doyle said officers were called Friday to a report of a suicidal man at a residence in the 300 block of Main Street. The man was said to be armed with a knife.

The man – Floyd Harper – was also wanted on warrants out of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Doyle said.

After the hours-long standoff, the tactical team made entry and placed Harper into custody, Doyle said.

Harper was transported to Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol Township for a medical evaluation and then transported to the county prison.

Just got up. So got call for suicidal subject at 381 main st. Armed with a knife in the attic. Police were aware the subject had warrants out of PA and NJ. Swat eventually made entry and placed subject Floyd Harper in custody. He was taken to LBH for medical evaluation and sent to BCP.

An hours-long standoff in Tullytown Borough ended Saturday morning.

The standoff was underway Friday evening when a tactical team was dispatched to assist borough officers. A neighbor said the incident appeared to end around 2 a.m. Saturday.

Police were not immediately available for comment.

The incident involved a man in an residence in the area of Main Street and Brown Street, neighbors said.

No charges were filed as of Saturday morning.

Main Street was closed into the early morning hours.

The standoff came exactly a month after another standoff in the tiny borough.
